Stressline beam and block for Leicestershire ballroom

Stressline beam and block for Leicestershire ballroom

Stressline was appointed to supply a flooring solution for Winstanley House in Leicestershire.

Previously known as Braunstone Hall, the building had suffered from years of dereliction, fire, theft and leaks, but is now been redeveloped into a stunning wedding venue.

Stressline was asked to provide a beam and block flooring solution for the two ballrooms designed to house 150 and 450 guests and also the kitchen.

Stressline supplied the developers with over 1100 metres worth of 150mm deep beams at various lengths spanning from 2500mm through to 5475mm. The beams consisted of 165mm, 125mm and 105mm width beams throughout the floor area.

The floor also required over 3300 infill blocks, with Stressline specifying a minimum 1900kg/m3 block density.
