A Lake District home completely remodelled their lounge and chose white bifolds from Origin to maximise their views to the stunning countryside.

One of the key items that needed replacing was the lounge’s sliding patio door, which over time had suffered damage and needed to be replaced with new doors that would offer durability and strength. Importantly, the doors needed to offer weather protection as their property was prone to heavy rain and winds.

They clients opted for a 2+0 configuration in white, complete with colour-coordinated gaskets and handles. The bifolds addressed the requirements for weather protection, offering high thermal efficiency, concealed drainage and a weathered threshold to protect the home against driving wind and rain.

The new doors also make everything much quieter, as they protect the interior spaces from external noise. When they’re closed, you can barely hear the main road, even when it’s busy.

And yet, you never feel disconnected from the outdoors as they offer thin sightlines for more glass and better views, as well as the ability to create a seamless transition at any point of the day. Particularly, when the sun shines down on the property, the entire living room lights up for a warm and welcoming room.
