Furnitubes has supplied concrete seating products from its Blyth and Fortis ranges for the new Sybil Andrews Academy in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
The school has been initially designed to accommodate 900 students but has the ability to expand to a capacity of 1400 pupils, and to include a sixth form.
The seating provided by Furnitubes has mostly been placed along paths and on boundaries between hard and soft landscape areas, to provide extensive informal seating provision around the site. The concrete was supplied in a dark grey mix and acid etched finish to compliment the colour pallet of the hard landscape materials and surrounding architecture. Additional products supplied to the scheme include Eltham stainless bollards used for demarcation purposes between vehicular and pedestrian areas outside the school boundary.
