Sun Alliance House, Middlesbrough

Client: Jomast Developments
Type of works: supply of Bushboard's commercial Continuum cubicle system.

Sun Alliance House in Middlesbrough has recently been refurbished by its owners, Jomast Construction. The seven storey building is home to a wide range of small to medium size businesses, and a key part of the refurbishment was to provide a modern and attractive washroom solution.

Ian Williams, Project Director at Jomast Developments, together with their in-house design and architectural team, chose the Continuum cubicle system from Bushboard’s commercial range as the answer to the requirements of the building. He says, “We have specified Bushboard on other projects and we know Continuum delivers what we want – lasting performance, aesthetic appeal and of course practical installation.”

Panelling was specified to match the cubicles. Continuum itself features solid 30mm pilasters with contemporary Quadra 8 radius, plus a continuous two part scrolled headrail. Easy to clean and maintain, the range is ideal for dry, high use modern office interiors. Response to the new facilities has been excellent, as Ian Williams describes, “The new washrooms have to withstand a reasonable flow of heavy traffic, and also create the right impression for clients visiting the building as well as staff working there.

The Bushboard system has been used successfully in a number of our commercial properties and we will continue to use it in existing and future works.”

To find out more about Bushboard solutions for offices, ask for the new Commercial Washrooms brochure. Designed to make specification easy, with step-by-step specification guides through cubicles, panelling options, vanities and accessories, the brochure can be ordered online or over the phone, (01933) 232200.
