Pop Up Power Supplies Ltd® were proud to support one of London’s most iconic cultural destinations—the South Bank—by supplying outdoor power solutions for its year-round programme of events, markets, and performances.

Stretching along the south bank of the River Thames, this vibrant district is home to the Southbank Centre, National Theatre, and BFI Southbank, and hosts a constant flow of festivals, food markets, and open-air activities. It’s a place where culture, entertainment, and commerce meet—and where infrastructure must support heavy footfall while preserving the area’s unique charm.

To meet these needs, Pop Up Power Supplies® provided a selection of retractable and in-ground power units to enhance functionality without compromising the historic and aesthetic value of the space.

Discreet Power Along The Queen’s Walk

The Queen’s Walk—a pedestrianised stretch of riverside path lined with trees, public art, and cafes—is one of the capital’s most scenic walkways. To maintain its visual appeal, PUPS01 retractable service units were specified for installation directly into the surface.

These were installed to support the thriving Southbank Centre Food Market, known for its diverse mix of international cuisine, artisan traders, and seasonal festivities.

The pop-up nature of our units allows stallholders and event organisers to access electricity when needed—without permanent installations cluttering the space. Whether for a weekend market, a festival stage, or a late-night comedy performance, these discrete power units offer flexibility with minimal visual impact.
