Architectural aluminium systems company Metal Technology has supplied its window products to a 101 apartment retirement village in Worcester Road, Malvern.
With sustainability and accessibility at the heart of this flagship scheme, Metal Technology's System 4-35 Hi+ casement window and System 5-20Dhi+ door offer the designer a wide and diverse range of profiles that provide structural integrity, weather performance, thermal enhancement and security.
System 4-35 Hi+, in conjunction with the correct glass specification, is designed to meet or exceed the latest thermal requirements of current building regulations. The high level of thermal performance has been achieved using the latest technology with bespoke thermal centre-seal gaskets, cellular foams and finned polyamide thermal isolators all contributing to the final performance figure. A highly cost-effective entrance door solution, the System 5-20D Hi+ offers both BS 6375 and PAS 24. Door Security testing covers standard, panic and electric release options.
All products have been designed and engineered for not only ease of fabrication but also robust onsite operation and maintenance, this coupled with a product that offers 100% recyclability helped Clarence Park achieved a BREEAM "Very Good" rating for the non- residential elements of the project, while the residential elements will achieve the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3.
