The construction of the striking Arup new head office in Fitzrovia called for good reverb control within the atrium areas. We were commissioned to provide a solution for each of the five open office floors and the plant area on the sixth.

The Terraco Ambient system was used around the atrium walkways and within each of the 5 lift lobby areas.

30mm dense fibre board was fixed directly to a MFC structure at 400 centres forming a base for the sprayed plaster. Reinforced openings through the system were formed for lighting, sprinkler heads and smoke heads. Edge details to support columns were accommodated to provide a clean, sharp finish.

The acoustic plaster was finally sanded to our smooth finish giving a seamless plastered ceiling area.
