The Brackenhurst Campus now benefits from great acoustics whilst meeting sustainable target

Using Acoustic Products' Topakustik systems, the students and teaching staff at Nottingham Trent University will benefit from the great acoustic properties whilst meeting the sustainable target for the Brackenhurst Campus.

On behalf of Clegg Construction, JT Joinery superbly installed the Topakustik 28/4M planks (absorption class C, NRC 0.75) to two areas of the Nottingham Trent University - Brackenhurst Campus.

The cafeteria ceiling used the Topakustik 28/4M planks in an oak veneer with a lime wash to create a ‘soft’ acoustic environment whilst keeping that warm timber effect joining the rafters. The lecture theatre also used the Topakustik 28/4m planks in an oak veneer installed to the wall linings. Again to enhanced the students learning and to facilitate the lecturers auditory needs.

Originally designed by Evans Vettori architects, the specified Topaksutik system met the Acoustic and Sustainable brief ensuring these areas are going to look and perform great for many years.
