Lami Doors have now completed the supply and installation of Hygienic Water-Resistant GRP Doors to four new state-of-the-art leisure centres in Birmingham as the city shapes up for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in 2022.
The centres at Stechford, Erdington, Northfield & Ladywood, funded by Birmingham City Council and Sport England, will be operated by Birmingham Leisure Community Trust (BCLT).
As grass roots centres, it is hoped that people in the local and surrounding areas will make the most of the excellent facilities which includes 25 metre, 8 lane competition standard pools and associated wet changing facilities, where the majority of the Lami GRP Doors are located, in all centres. There are also 130-station gyms and for those who want to relax, the centres all have steam and sauna rooms.
Leroy McKenzie, Lami Doors National Sales Manager said, “we are very proud to have supplied more than 75 doors across all four facilities. Our Projects team worked very closely and tirelessly with the main contractor, architects and logistics teams to ensure that our products were delivered on time and in keeping with the very high standards demanded. We are also very proud to be contributing to the legacy which will no doubt be created following the Commonwealth Games in 2022 and trust that people of all age groups will be inspired to use these fantastic facilities”.
