Modern landscaping project in the heart of Barnsley

The Glass Works Barnsley is an exciting £180m new development scheme that began in 2016 to offer shopping, dining, and leisure experiences. Barnsley is a large town in South Yorkshire and was for many years a coal mining industry town. The town centre itself has undergone a huge redevelopment and is now full of new facilities.

The town square in particular has been part of a modern landscaping project and is now large enough for market stalls and public events. The newly redeveloped square leads into the indoor market which is the heart of the town. This area is now bright, open and inviting for all visitors to the town.
