The Maison Française d'Oxford (MFO), is a French research centre in the humanities and social sciences and a member of the Network of French Research Institutes Established Abroad (IFRE) by the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).

MFO hosts interdisciplinary programmes, conferences, seminars and other events in collaboration with members of the university and required a space more in keeping with the calibre of visitors and speakers.

Maison identified a previously empty room to install a bespoke tiering package and a seating installation with a fixed writing bench.

The bespoke tiering, designed and constructed by Ferco, enabled the caretaking team to retain access underneath creating useful storage space.

Ideally suited for use on structural tiering, the versatile and customisable Athena seating system was installed, accompanied by a continuous desk to transform the room into a comfortable lecture space.
