The Network Rail York Team liaised with Twinfix to replace the roof at Stirling Station

The Network Rail York Team investigated a number of solutions and liaised with Twinfix to come up with a cost saving option to replace the roof with polycarbamate panels and access hatches to save the expense of a roof mounted access structure.

Twinfix worked on the specification for the new roof glazing to provide a sympathetic restoration. They provided new glazing that looked in keeping with the original, but with the advantage of being non-fragile, virtually unbreakable and very easy and quick to install.

Twinfix's Multi-Link-Panel was re-designed especially for this project with the base of the bar being reduced from 70mm to 50mm. Using 3D modelling technology they re-designed their bar allowing network rail to approve the actual design before they manufactured it.
