The ground breaking eco-luxury Spa at Coworth Park is an architectural wonder, partially submerged in the Spa’s landscape, its upper floor takes in breathtaking views of the Polo Park and surrounding English parkland.

The Interior Designer, Fox Linton Associates have been shortlisted for the Sustainable Design Award at the prestigious European Hotel Design Awards to be held in London on 22 November 2011 and as part of the installation team for the spa, Ahmarra wish them every success.

Ahmarra’s contract was worth £390,000 and consisted of supplying and fitting numerous elements including doorsets for treatment rooms, clerestory windows to enhance daylight into the spa, solid oak wood flooring, a bespoke feature staircase and a graphic metal bulrush sculpture for the entrance walkway and internal corridors.

The semi-circular spa is buried within the natural contours of the landscape, the green agenda is carried through the entire spa, which is served by an energy centre with biomass boiler, greywater recycling, rainwater harvesting and LED lighting. Camomile, lavender and thyme grown on the living roof and are used for spa treatments to create an exceptional eco luxury spa environment. All the materials used were natural, organic and FSC certified.

Ahmarra has worked on a number of projects for iconic luxury hotels including such brands as Intercontinental, Grange, Apex and Four Seasons and their reputation grows with each contract.
