The Waterfront, Barton Marina, Staffordshire
Client: The Waterfront
Installers: Style
Type of works: supply of movable walls and room division solutions.
Movable wall supplier Kaba has provided room division solutions at new pub and restaurant The Waterfront, recently built alongside Barton Marina.
Working together with Style, Kabas installation specialists, a moveable wall was installed to provide an acoustic division of the main function room on the first floor. The movable walls enable the function room to be divided into three smaller saleable function areas. The single-point wall, faced in a specialist European oak veneer and protected with an aluminium exposed frame, gives an acoustic barrier of up 54dB allowing separate functions to be held without noise interference. The framework protects the partition surfaces, thus ensuring that it is applicable for heavy-duty use.
Mr Barry Morgan, owner of The Waterfront said: being able to divide the function room, known as the Crows Nest, gives us enormous flexibility. It is already a popular venue for corporate use and private parties. Apart from being able to hold separate events, we can hold a wedding ceremony in one section and have all the tables laid up in readiness for the reception in the rest. Were delighted with the concept.
The movable wall partition type 100 series are separate panels with or without visible frames. Solid walls, telescope elements, doors and double doors, angles and fixed doors with different surfaces can also be specified. Type 100 with two castors makes it possible to arrange the panels into an almost endless range of parking positions.
