thyssenkrupp escalators at Stadshagen metro station

Three thyssenkrupp heavy duty victoria escalators have been installed at Stadshagen metro station in Stockholm, Sweden. The Stadshagen metro station originally opened in 1975 and recently underwent a major refurbishment including the installation of three brand new victoria escalators provided by thyssenkrupp and manufactured in Hamburg, Germany.

The site conditions required the escalators with 17m rise to be installed from below with specific lifting equipment. Stand-alone controller with energy recovery system and VVF frequency controller have been provided for high level energy efficiency.

A continuous step sag monitoring system was installed at the entire length of the escalators. The escalators are equipped with 3mm pentagon balustrades and a 5mm track and guides at the load- and unload-side.
