Caice were commissioned to install sustainable Eco Shade Timber Brise Soleil to the glazed façade of the dining room at Lendal Engine House in York.
Lendal Engine House is a new restaurant development in a prime location within the city of York. Located overlooking the River Ouse and sited adjacent to the Museum Gardens and Lendal Tower, the development is a beautiful redevelopment of the Grade II listed former engine house for the York waterworks
The Caice system consisted of six bays of Western Red Cedar Timber Brise Soleil. The design called for the existing architectural cross ties between the timber pillars to be incorporated. This was successfully achieved with each tie now running through the centre of the specially pre-routed blades.
With installation now complete, diners are able to fully enjoy views of the adjacent river and surrounding landmarks.
