Soundcraft has designed, manufactured and installed glazed timber communal security doors and screens for use in access control systems for a leading Housing Association. This project was a further phase in a programme, stretching over many years, to upgrade the security of residents in a variety of communal social housing dwellings.

The design took particular care to ensure that the entrances did not suggest a besieged look, that unfortunately can happen in challenging areas. The locking system was based on electro magnets linked to the call panel and exit devices. Over seventy doors were installed in a contract valued at over £150,000.
