Tobermore increases production capacity to meet surge in demand

Paving and walling manufacturer, Tobermore has invested £10million in expanding their manufacturing facilities. The company is ramping up production in response to a surge in market demand for their hard landscaping products.

Construction of Tobermore’s new multi-million pound factory is currently underway with project completion scheduled for the end of the year. The new plant will have a gross internal floor area (GIFA) of 4416m2 and is expected to create dozens of local jobs from many departments including production, despatch and haulage, not to mention sales and administration.

The 1-acre expansion to Tobermore’s Headquarters brings the total site area to over 50 acres. The new factory will be Tobermore’s fourth block paving manufacturing facility which is expected to increase production capacity by over 30%.

Tobermore’s latest factory will house another impressive HESS block paving machine which guarantees quality and efficiency. Tobermore has welcomed manufacturers from all over the globe to see their outstanding plant first-hand.

David Henderson, Managing Director of Tobermore, commented on the investment:
One of the things we are really excited about at the moment is the construction of our new factory. The capital investment is in the region of £10 million and we expect our new HESS machine to arrive next week. This plant will give us significant increased capacity to make another one million square metres of block paving per year. We are already looking forward to 2021 when we will be able to take huge amounts of new business on board.
