Tobermore meet the requirements for Bausch + Lomb Ireland Campus upgrade

Tobermore’s Manhattan and Sienna range were selected to provide a corporate image to the campus entrance at Bausch + Lomb’s Waterford site.

Bausch + Lomb is a world leader in eye health, manufacturing contact lenses and pharmaceuticals at their Waterford site.

The client brief for the project defined a requirement to upgrade the main entrance to the Bausch + Lomb Ireland Campus.

The purpose of this was to provide ‘Part M compliant’ universal access to the main entrance of the plant. Designated car parking for disabled, visitor and expectant mothers was also required on the campus.

The existing carpark facilities and finishes had exceeded their life expectancy and were in significant need of upgrading.

After careful consideration of the products available on the market, Tobermore’s granite aggregate products were specified as they met the project requirements whilst being easy to maintain, durable and aesthetically appropriate.

Tobermore products had been used as part of previous Campus Expansion projects on the Bausch + Lomb Ireland campus in recent years and where they had delivered these requirements to the client and design team. This made the decision process very easy for the client and design team alike.

Diarmuid Reil, Director, Diarmuid Reil Architects, commented: “Tobermore’s Manhattan and Sienna paving met the practical, technical and aesthetic requirement and have been selected to carefully harmonise with the adjoining soft landscaping and entrance signage.
