Scottish housebuilder and developer, Springfield Properties, has chosen to use Norbord’s Caberdek particleboard flooring across its entire range of both private and affordable new build projects.

The family-owned business has grown substantially. In 2005, it was named in the Sunday Times as one of Scotland’s fastest-growing and most profitable companies. Last year, the company caused a stir when it purchased Redrow Group’s Scottish division in a £49 million deal that established it as one of Scotland’s largest independent housebuilders.

Over the past decade, Springfield Properties has become a significant Norbord customer, buying OSB3, Caberfloor P5 and Caberdek flooring via Norbord distributor, Caledonian Plywood.

“Springfield has recently taken to Caberdek in a big way and, as well as the boards themselves, we also supply the special adhesives and tapes to go with them” comments Caledonian sales manager, Paul Forrest.
