Tower Hill School, Witney

Tower Hill School, Witney

Architect: Mouchel
Type of works: design, manufacture and installation of walkways.

Two canopies were designed by Apex Shelter Systems Ltd to offer weather protection and enhance the aesthetics of the school. Both walkways were custom designed to suit the application. The walkways abutted one another to provide a continuous walkway between the two diagonally adjacent school buildings. They were also affixed to each of the existing school buildings which therefore required the roofs to fall in opposite directions. The two shelters successfully achieved a harmony of design and unified the two, separate buildings.

The steel structures were polyester powder-coated to RAL 3003, Maroon, and the roofing is 16mm Triplewall Polycarbonate.
