Type of works: supply of MCM single-skin series to aid a major hotel project.

The project represented one of the city's largest new hotel construction projects. MCM single-skin series was specified due to planning restrictions and speed of installation.

The picture above illustrates the large dual-pitched main roof of the hotel. Several services, such as pipe penetrations and extractor plants, were installed through the roof area. Due to the versatility of the PIB^® membrane coated-panels, these penetrations could be sited long after completion of the roof structure and sealed with hot-air applied PIB^® single-ply membrane.

PIB^® membrane lined gutters were installed at eaves level. The interface detail with the MCM system was simplified due to the capability of welding the membrane-formed gutter section to the drip edge of the MCM panel system.
