Underfloor heating for Old Pear Tree Barn

Underfloor heating for Old Pear Tree Barn

Nu-Heat's underfloor heating solution has been installed as part of a renovation project at a stunning property. Old Pear Tree Barn was little more than a wreck when Simon Hancock and his wife Sue decided to renovate the listed barn into a holiday let. After four years the project is complete and features underfloor heating throughout, towel rails in the two bathrooms and a ground source heat pump.

The installation was carried out by Newquay plumbing and heating engineer Lee Woodhatch, he commented, " love the fact that there is no conflict of interest on this job, the underfloor heating, ground source heat pump and towel rails are all from Nu-Heat. "The provision is there to make the system as energy efficient as possible but it is dependent on how the customer uses it," Lee continues. "For example the towel rails will be energy efficient as long as they are only set to come on at specific, required times."

Owner Simin Hancock said "We are delighted with the barn, we wanted it to be like a home from home for holidaymakers and I feel we have achieved that. It is great not to have obstructive radiators on the walls; it has made the design and layout of the furniture trouble-free and the temperature is always pleasant. "The fact that our property features underfloor heating and a 'green' product is quite pertinent today and we hope that our customers enjoy the inviting and cosy atmosphere we have created."
