ULMA Architectural has provided its KOMPAQDRAIN ® channels for the new factory of Spanish mattress manufacturer Pikolin. According to Pikolin, its new facilities, covering 85,000 square metres in which the Aragón-based company has invested 50 million Euros, are the largest and most advanced industrial complex in Europe in the bedding industry.
For this project, ULMA developed a drainage channel tailor made for the requirements. The Aragón-based company needed a drainage channel with smaller holes and a smooth surface to avoid vibrations when trucks pass.
In total, ULMA installed 1,910 linear metres of KOMPAQDRAIN ® KVFD200.10R.E2530 Industry channel with MAX FLOW® system. It is a new compact channel made of polymer concrete, in which channel and grating form a single piece, guaranteeing greater rigidity. In addition, it is suitable for load type D400, according to EN-1433, and is specifically designed for areas with high traffic density.
