University Hospital of Wales

University Hospital of Wales

Client: University Hospital of Wales
Type of works: supply of IPS panelling systems

As part of an ambitious project designed to modernise obstetrics and gynaecology care in Wales, the country’s University Hospital has opened a brand new, state-of-the-art, nine bed midwifery building.

This £16 million scheme is set to transform services for pregnant women, offering three birthing pools and six home-from-home birthing rooms as well as a consultant-led unit for more complex births. It will also provide new facilities for IVF Wales, Gynaecology, Fetal Medicine, Antenatal Clinic and a Maternity Assessment Unit.

Venesta’s ground-breaking IPS and IPS Healthcare pre-plumbed panelling systems were specified by project architects, Boyesrees. They were chosen for their ability to fit seamlessly into the unit’s contemporary design and provide quick and easy installation, a key consideration on a project of this scale. This is a highly prestigious project for us and one that showcases our unrivalled expertise in the healthcare sector.
