Industry leading facade specialist Aliva UK has been shortlisted for a prestigious sustainability award in the Unlock Net Zero awards with Unite Students for its flagship new build, Morriss House in Nottingham.
Aliva is proud to be shortlisted in the New Build Development of the Year Midlands and South category with this stunning EPC A, BREEAM Excellent, 705-bedroom Purpose Built Student Accommodation scheme.
This shortlisting recognises both the architectural design potential and the sustainability benefits that its A1 fire rated, KIWA certified AlivaBrick system can yield, with a U-Value of 0.10W/m2k achieved on Morriss House.
Aliva’s brick slips also require approximately 85% less energy than conventional brick production, adding to the sustainability contribution.
Morriss House features over 8,000sqm of Aliva’s EWI with red and buff clay slips, including acute and obtuse angled slips and corbel detailing, alongside stone rainscreen cladding as an accent feature, bespoke facade combinations that met the architectural design intent of Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson.
Morriss House was delivered in partnership with main contractor RG Group, and installer Stoneguard and is already environmentally award-winning, having received the Judges Choice award in the Environmental High rise category in the most recent INCA awards.
Fingers crossed for the Unlock Net Zero awards night which takes place in Manchester in June.
