Europes second largest manufacturer of insulation materials, URSA, has added the URSA Cavity Batt to its growing UK product range.
A lightweight, non combustible, semi-rigid glass mineral wool slab, the URSA Cavity Batt, is suitable for both fully- and partially-filled masonry cavity walls, up to 25m high.
The product is available in a range of thicknesses and will support the specifier/installer in meeting the appropriate Building Regulation standards with any form of cavity wall construction. Use of a glasswool product will also help companies meet its environmental KPIs as these products do not contain or use blowing agents such as CFCs and HCFCs, thus giving the product a zero ozone depleting potential (ODP) and zero global warming potential (GWP)
The use of the URSA Cavity Batt can also result in significant savings. If a lightweight block is used for the inner-leaf construction, the 85mm Cavity Batt can be specified and still meet the appropriate Building Regulation requirement.
David Kemp, Managing Director of URSA UK said: The benefits of the URSA glasswool products are being recognised and utilised more and more in the UK. We aim to keep one step ahead of the market and continue to launch products that are in the line with industry needs the launch of the URSA Cavity Batt reflects this ethos.
