Brick Basics is a new RIBA accredited CPD from brick manufacturer Vandersanden, the manufacturer renowned for their innovation, sustainability and craftsmanship.

This new CPD is a recent addition to Vandersanden’s portfolio of learning and development tools, aimed at architects and specifiers, helping to enhance their knowledge base and keep them updated on new trends, techniques and innovations in brick manufacturing.

In the Brick Basics CPD, the origins and anatomy of brick are explored, as well as the manufacturing process and an overview of the main brick types and commonly used configurations. The new CPD also explains the influence of joints and mortar, techniques for accommodating building movement and the key factors to be considered when selecting the right brick for a project.

The CPD can be delivered either live or remotely by one of Vandersanden’s highly trained team of brick specialists.
