Variflex offers higher acoustic insulation than ever

New sound tests for Dorman Hüppe Variflex partitioning walls, available in the UK through sole distributors Style, have been shown to deliver higher acoustic insulation than ever before.

The Variflex 100 achieved a peak value of 59dB, the superbly slimline Variflex 88 system achieved an outstanding 58dB whilst the Variflex Glass partitioning wall recorded an impressive 52dB. Available as manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic operable walls, the Variflex range offers complete flexibility to divide almost any room whilst creating an exceptional acoustic barrier.

The modular nature of the Variflex portfolio enables various elements, such as pivoting/sliding doors or glass panels, to be easily incorporated in the movable wall design. And there is equal flexibility in terms of the surface finishes that can be applied, including laminates, veneers and even Magic Glass panels that can be electrically switched between transparent and opaque.

Julian Sargent, Style’s group managing director, said: "With this latest set of tests, Variflex moveable walls have really raised the bar as market leader". “The options are so varied, we can deliver an outstanding partitioning wall that exactly matches the needs of the end-user and, with the improved acoustic performance, events can be carried out simultaneously in adjacent rooms without trade off.”

Using the unique ComfortDrive system, spaces can be efficiently reconfigured under fully automatic control at the push of a button whilst the ComforTronic option automates the extension of the rubber seals between the partitioning panels, ensuring acoustic performance is maximised every time.
