Set on the clifftops of Sandsend near Whitby, Raithwaite Hall has been redeveloped into a luxurious country retreat by property and leisure group Skelwith.
The 19th century manor house and estate once belonged to a local shipping magnate but, following Skelwiths £30 million redevelopment, Raithwaite Hall now offers luxurious hotel accommodation to anyone visiting the North Yorkshire Moors National Park or the historic Whitby coast. The boutique hotels 80 acres of landscaped grounds include gardens, lakes and bridges giving the estate a truly majestic feel.
Raithwaite Hall offers 45 superbly appointed bedrooms, a state-of-the-art spa, a fine dining restaurant and luxury bar, as well as a conference and function area to seat up to 180 people. Depa, the world-renowned interior contractor whose UK projects include Londons Savoy, Waldorf and Grosvenor House hotels, were the designers of Raithwaite Halls sumptuous and stylish interiors.
150 of Vicaimas Classic doors were supplied for this redevelopment, complete with primed frames. All doors were finished in oak and included FD30 fire rating and 31db sound reduction performance options. Barry Waddell, commercial director of Vicaima, said: Doors from our Classic range are the epitome of elegance and are a great way to recreate traditional and stylish interiors.
Vicaima doors are proving popular in the leisure industry and Raithwaite Hall follows close on the heels of another luxury hotel. The Hotel Montaigne and Spa in Cannes was recently completed using Vicaimas Portaro door kits throughout.
