Weather louvres for University of Liverpool accommodation

GDL supplied 50mm pitch Weather Louvres throughout the three main buildings of the University of Liverpool’s recently completed Crown Place Residencies. Crown Place is a £50 million student accommodation development designed to replace the existing fatigued buildings in order to provide a first class experience for its students.

All three buildings are constructed from a concrete frame with a mix of brickwork, curtain walling and GRC Cladding. The building has been designed to achieve a BREEM excellence status, the development comprises a heating system that is powered using the spare capacity from the existing heating infrastructure. The University is committed to provide accommodation of an excellent standard whilst lowering its carbon reduction in the process.

GDL supplied 50mm pitch Weather Louvres within the studios, bedrooms and kitchens alongside clients H E Simm. The Louvres were manufactured to a bespoke specification to correctly ventilate the rooms whilst suitably fitting the aesthetics. The Louvres were powder coat painted in our factory to perfectly match the external colour scheme.
