Wethertex™ walls stand up to greenhouse gas emissions

Wethertex will prevent the equivalent of up to 150 tonnes of green house gas emissions from being released into the atmosphere, thanks to a new development in their render systems used on exterior walls.

Wethertex, known in the industry as high performance render experts, applied thousands of square meters of render to the thousands of homes across the country. Their new insulating render system has the ability to increase a building’s thermal capacity whilst enhancing the buildings appearance.

Wethertex spokesperson Darren Platts commented, “As well as knowing that we are helping to combat climate change thanks to the reduction in CO2 emissions we are also very aware that we are helping homeowners to save money on their annual fuel bill. We have adopted a policy of integrating eco-friendly methods in all our developments wherever possible”.

The introduction of this new development is the most recent staging post in a 33 year history of innovation. Part of the Wetherby Group, Wethertex have been providing high performance render and clear coat systems for three decades to a client list that boasts several major house builders, including, Redrow Homes, Persimmon Homes, David Wilson Homes and Crosby Homes.

Darren also commented, “We have experienced significant growth in recent years due to increased awareness of the benefits render has to offer – both in the environment and by reducing construction timescales. As developers strive to lower their carbon footprint and consumers look for more eco-friendly homes, render is one of numerous measures that can be implemented to achieve these goals, and we envisage further high levels of growth as other developers and homeowners catch on.”
