Wila lighting ideal for learning

Wila lighting ideal for learning

The grammar school Grünwald in Bavaria is the first school facility in Germany, where all classrooms are equipped with biodynamic light. Linic 230 recess mounted and pendent lights by WILA were installed in the classrooms themselves. As a special feature, the system used allows for three different light sources with different colour temperatures.

For conference rooms and offices, lighting designer Hubert Saegmüller of Lichttechnik&Design chose the Variatic pendant, another linear and modular lighting solution by WILA. It ensures a uniform illumination of the room and is also available as a wall washer for the illumination of vertical surfaces, such as walls and panels. Banisters in the grammar school were equipped with Puck handrail lighting, a LED technology that is built directly into the handrails.

WILA lights were also used in hallways. There, E Connect Nero Accent recess and Tentec LED recess and semi-recess mounted lights were installed. Both LED downlights provide a homogeneous surface lighting. For Saegmüller it was only logical to also use WILA lights in this area. "If you need downlights, you immediately think WILA. That's their core competency," he says.
