Type of works: design and development of warehouse racking system.

From a basic visual, KLM Engineering was requested to design and develop a complete range of fittings to locate 22 different products inside a modular lightweight warehouse racking system, for 122 branches of Wyevale Garden Centres.

The project development time, from design to manufacture, was only a matter of a few weeks as the deadline that Wyevale had set was to start the delivery roll out to the garden centres by the beginning of January, and complete the installations of all 122 centres by the end of January. KLM received the final go ahead by the end of November and started to make the first delivery to the distribution warehouse two days before the Christmas break. A number of KLM staff worked over Christmas to complete items that were due out on the 3rd of January. The delivery of the main part of the project was completed by the third week in January.
