Zehnder heating solution for Mellitus College

Zehnder heating solution for Mellitus College

Zehnder has provided its Terraline trench heating system adding warmth to St Jude’s Church in kensington. After an extensive period of refurbishment works, St Jude’s Church, Courtfield Gardens London was officially opened as the new home of St Mellitus Theological College.

Taking advantage of natural convection the Zehnder Terraline forms a heat wall in front of windows to create a pleasant and comfortable indoor climate. Russell from HMDW architects said "Zehnder Terraline was the most appropriate solution for the nave area as it enabled us to maintain our design flexibility, retain the aesthetic of the building, and ensure a seamless view of the wonderful brickwork from the offices.”

Moreover, thanks to its silent operation the Zehnder Terraline is able to maintain the peaceful atmosphere within the church, enhancing the working environment for building users.
