Fall protection specialist Kee Safety has developed a guardrail solution for standing seam and metal profile roofs. A new addition to its rooftop safety range, Kee Safety's KeeGuard® Topfix is suitable for roofs up to 45 degree pitch.
An "off the shelf" product, KeeGuard® Topfix incorporates a base plate, pre-assembled uprights and open cup fittings for quick and easy assembly. The specially designed base plate incorporates multiple fixing centres to allow for installation on a wide range of popular roofs.
The base plates for standing seam roofs are fixed using non-penetrative, two-part clamps while the plates on metal profile roofs are secured with minimal penetrations using rivets and butyl sealing strips to maintain the roof structure. KeeGuard® Topfix easily accommodates ridges, valleys, corners and other structural differences thanks to the use of standard Kee Klamp® fittings. With an upright base fitting that allows for 0-11 degree vertical adjustment and four fixing holes in the plate, the system can fit into the roof profile as straightforwardly as possible.
We developed the new KeeGuard® Topfix to provide an adaptable guardrail solution for standing seam and metal profile roofs explains David Hill, Marketing Director at Kee Safety. We want to offer a full range of roof top safety solutions and by adding this new system to our portfolio, we provide contractors with a complete offering.
To ensure durability and longevity of this product, KeeGuard® Topfix is available in both galvanised steel and aluminium finish, ensuring high reliability over a long period of time. It also complies with the test requirements of BS EN 14122 part 3 and BS EN 13374 Class A.
