ACO Water Management has worked in partnership with Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway on the installation of a StormBrixx soakaway system to help the charity to meet Building Regulation requirements for its new facility – a Restoration and Education Centre.
The Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway is a heritage steam railway operated entirely by volunteers. Used for film sets with thousands of visitors each year, the site preserves steam and diesel engines from the last 100 years. For its new facility, Building Regulations required that rainwater runoff from the roof was infiltrated to ground rather than run into the foul drains.
Dave Parks, Project Manager for the centre commented, “The product not only fulfils Building Regulation requirements but is also really easy to work with. With its stackable design, both delivery and installation is simplified. In addition, its accessibility after installation thanks to a host of smart design features, makes inspection and maintenance quick and easy while reducing running costs and prolonging the system’s life. ACO’s service was also second to none. Throughout the process, we worked closely with the company on both the design and installation, which made the whole process very smooth.”
