Allume's SolShare Elevates Flats to EPC A Rating

Allume's SolShare Elevates Flats to EPC A Rating

System Details: 1 x SolShare connected to 12 flats. Just 6 PV panels.
kWp per flat: 200 watts of solar
Price per flat: £1,100

Allume received a call from a client who was in trouble. They were completing in 3 weeks time but following a review discovered that 10 of the flats were short 1 SAP point for their EPC target rating of A.

Individual PV systems were considered but not viable. With individual systems, each flat would have needed at least one PV panel and there simply wasn't the roof space for 10 panels. In addition to this, there was no appropriate space inside the flats for the required PV hardware.

SolShare's solved these problems. With the ability to allocate kWp on a per 100 watt basis only 6 PV panels were needed, which was possible with the roof space available. Plus, it also requires no hardware inside the flats.

Within the 3 weeks, the SolShare system had been designed and installed, elevating every flat to an EPC A.

“Allume's SolShare got us out of the serious problem that we found ourselves in just three weeks before hand over. Without SolShare boosting the flats by 1 SAP point we would have been having some very difficult conversations.”
