Attenuators

Caice

At Caice, they take Attenuator development and testing seriously, which is why they are the only company in the UK that had undertaken UKAS accredited Attenuator testing measuring static and dynamic performance fully in accordance with BS EN ISO 7235: 2009. By ensuring testing of their Attenuators, they are able to guarantee noise reduction performance of any unit.

Noise-Reducing Attenuators are developed for fan units and other equipment within heating, ventilating and air conditioning, also known as HVAC systems.

Generally mounted within the system’s ductwork, they ensure that a specific noise criteria is achieved within the internal or external areas they are installed in.

Attenuators are available in optional internal and external paint finish, as well as being versatile in design, offering an option of vertical or horizontal splitter orientation.

The Comprehensive Range offers solutions for rectangular and circular ductwork or products can be specifically designed for installation within apertures and restricted spaces. Attenuator data means we can guarantee the noise reduction performance of any unit.

Tunnel Ventilation

Caice’s Tunnel Attenuators quieten the ventilation systems, which not only provide fresh air for weary train passengers or drivers using the tunnel, they also create a safe, comfortable environment for users. Whilst the noisy plant and equipment above is prevented from disturbing neighbours and spoiling the environment.

Whole House Ventilation Attenuators

When it comes to providing energy-efficient and quiet-sounding ventilation, the whole house ventilation attenuator from Caice offers a reliable and cost effective method of reducing noise in domestic environments, as well as being compliant with Part F of the Building Regulations.

Part F requires consideration to adequate ventilation and noise control provision in dwellings, and also in other buildings, making their attenuators the perfect solution to allow your ventilation system to offer effective air circulation.

The whole house ventilation system Caice provide is also suitable for use in commercial buildings such as schools or offices. Working closely with their acoustic engineers, they have been able to develop an attenuator that significantly reduces noise, providing the best solution for air ventilation in all environments.

Caice’s Attenuator Selector is a free HVAC attenuator product selection and scheduling tool developed for Microsoft Windows, to make the lives of mechanical & electrical services specifiers easier.

The program has been designed, developed and is supported by the Caice in-house Microsoft Certified software development team and includes some great features designed with building service engineers in mind:
A wide range of models and features to choose from
Organises attenuator selections in projects
Makes sharing these projects with colleagues simple and easy
Develops templates for repeat projects
Produces attenuator schedules in easy-to-use formats in Excel & PDF
Its available to use on all versions of Microsoft Windows

Discreet, natural Acoustic Trickle Vents for windows with high sound insulation. Proven acoustic performance, measured in an independent acoustic test facility in accordance with BS EN 20140-10:1992

Acoustic Trickle Vents for windows let fresh air in and keep noise out

Natural ventilation systems introduce air paths in the façade that undermine the sound insulation performance of the building structure, so Caice have designed and developed a highly effective range of Acoustic Trickle Vents for windows to neatly and discreetly solve this problem.

Fresh air is essential for the well-being of everyone inside a building. If not considered at the right time or appropriate way, natural methods of fresh air ventilation can be noisy and disturb the occupants comfort in a space.

Caice Acoustic Trickle Vents are unobtrusive and can be easily integrated into your rooms

The Acoustic Trickle Ventilator range is for residential and hotel bedrooms primarily but can be adapted for almost any project where background or trickle ventilation is required.

Products are integrated unobtrusively into the building façade, below lintels and above windows. Flush fit externally, they can also be polyester powder painted for a superior appearance and to match your window design.

Internally, they can be exposed within the room, or concealed within a bulkhead. Non-active (or dummy) versions are also available to maintain a consistent aesthetic appearance inside and out.

The internal acoustic media has a Class “O” fire rating in accordance with BS 476 Part 24

The ventilator range is not suitable for buildings where a residential floor is 18 metres or more above ground level as the acoustic media will not comply to “A1” or “A2-S1, do” to BS EN 13501.
Choose from Caice’s standard range of Acoustic Trickle Ventilators, have them tailored or specify a bespoke solution

Each of the standard products from their core range of Acoustic Ventilators can be tailored to suit your design requirements or the physical constraints for the given application.

Caice’s experts will then help you specify the best product. If you need a totally bespoke solution, they can develop the concept, undertaking acoustic and aerodynamic tests to give you confidence in their performance.

Forced ventilation systems

Caice have a separate range of Attenuators, Acoustic Louvres, Acoustic Screens or Enclosures that reduce noisy forced ventilation systems to very low and comfortable levels.
There are two methods of installation for Caice Acoustic Trickle Vents

They can be either exposed or concealed within a bulkhead.
