BFT reveal new state-of-the-art training centre & servicing workshop

BFT is proud to announce a new £500,000 training centre that will provide state-of-the-art training for their staff.

They are converting 1200 metres squared of their warehouse space into a training facility and workshop.

There will be seven engineering bays for maintenance servicing, one hoist maintenance bay, one inspection and weight test bay and an electrical area for control unit repairs.

BFT believe that this investment in their facilities highlights their commitment to providing the safest mast climbing services for the construction industry.

Based in Leighton Buzzard and Manchester, they can deliver high-quality training and safety standards from these new premises.

What can their training centre do?

Of the few occasions when a callout is required, over 90% of these requests are down to operator error, and the vast majority of these errors are easy to fix.

This is why their IPAF Operator and Demonstrator training, delivered from their IPAF-accredited Instructors, carries out stringent training tests for every operator.

BFT’s new facility has a dedicated classroom and theory area to ensure that their safety training is at its most rigorous and comprehensive.

By keeping callouts to a minimum, BFT want to save time and money for customers who depend on their equipment to access buildings at height.

What about their new maintenance facilities?

Every machine that has been involved with a project goes through the same process. It is stripped down and has a thorough inspection as per their comprehensive servicing procedure quality manual.

BFT will repaint the machinery if required and it is given a full maintenance check. These tests are then signed off by one of their qualified and in-house Engineers.

With this work taking place in their new centre, it provides a one-stop shop for expertly maintaining and improving their equipment on a constant basis.

Why have BFT done this?

BFT are proud of their safety record. They are noticing an increase in mast climbing popularity across the industry, which is why it is important to continually refresh and reinvest in their safety and training products.

BFT aim to increase understanding of what mast climbing is and how it should be inspected, tested and maintained, which is why contractors are invited to visit their new facility. They want you to gain first-hand experience of how their equipment can safely and securely carry out important building access works that can save time and money when compared with scaffolding.
