Canterbury University have built a new multi-level accommodation block as part of the growth plans for the future. The main contractor chose Wykamol Registered installer Advance Property preservation to carry out the waterproofing works in the large basement areas.

Wykamol alongside Simon Wooton of Advance property designed the scheme to incorporate 2 forms of waterproofing to conform to BS8102.

In this project Wykamol cement based crystalline slurry was used as a Type A System alongside their Cavity Drain Membranes.

Both these systems carry the BBA accreditation for the architects and engineers on site.

Working on projects like these enables Wykamol to showcase the benefit of working alongside them. With site supervision, a full design service, from looking at plans to site visits to check on the construction progress, as well as signing off on the waterproofing towards the end of the project.
