Offering strength, versatility and a rapid installation – the new Power Post from Combisafe International sets the highest standards in floor to soffit edge protection for steel and concrete construction.

Developed by leading provider of safety at height solutions, Combisafe, the Power Post will complement the company’s innovative range of edge protection systems – including the market leading Steel Mesh Barrier (SMB) – to meet the unique challenges of virtually every construction site.

Suitable for heights between 2.7 and 3.5 metres, the Power Post incorporates a unique compression unit to apply a force of up to 7.0kN between the floor and soffit and ensure compliance with EN 13374: The European standard for temporary edge protection systems. The compression unit can be simply and efficiently adjusted, without any need to dismantle full height barriers, so safety will not be compromised.

The easy-to-use system utilises a Split SMB Holder which allows installation of either a single or double holder before or after the Power Post is erected – whilst enabling the user to adjust both barriers even once the system is in place.

Offering outstanding versatility across both steel and concrete frame structures, the Power Post benefits from a range of installations including; friction only installation, mechanically anchored into slab with friction at soffit, mechanically anchored to both slab and soffit, cast in concrete sleeve in slab with friction at soffit, or used with a welded socket and plastic sleeve anchor in steel frame construction.

With safety a prerequisite, the Power Post also offers a visual compression indicator to provide a built in safety check. For additional ease of use, the system’s load indicator is clearly visible through the steel mesh barrier and aids precise and rapid rigging when using a powered impact wrench. To secure the system to a concrete floor, Combisafe offers the Floor Grip and Power Post Foot for security against slipping or when a positive mechnical anchor is required.
