Curved skylight for Indianapolis Airport

Curved skylight for Indianapolis Airport

Novum Structures has provided a glazed curved skylight for Indianapolis International Airport. HOK designed the Indianapolis International Airport, a complex that includes a two level terminal located in between two runways.

Novum was chosen to engineer the curved skylight, located above the Civic Plaza in the heart of the terminal, which emanates the shape of the city’s central public space, Monument Circle. The impressive 200 ft diameter skylight is supported by steel beams and tension cables.

Laminated, insulating glass with a reflective coating hovers 60 ft above the Civic Plaza, allowing natural light into the space below, while achieving energy efficiency through solar control.
