Double Camber clay tiles for Cromwell Court

Double Camber clay tiles for Cromwell Court

Marley has provided its Acme Double Camber Clay Plain Tiles for Cromwell Court, the largest house to be built in Cheshire for 50 years.

The architects of the project said:"An important aspect that we had to consider in the design of the house was that planning officials had specified that the roof covering had to be as similar as possible to the roof of the bungalow that was previously on the plot. We wanted something that would complement the Cheshire Red Sandstone accents used on the house and the colour of Marley’s Acme Double Camber Clay Plain Tile in Smooth Brindle fitted perfectly: Its dappled effect provided just enough contrast with the house without it looking incongruous to either the building or the area."

A total of 56,000 of Marley’s Acme Double Camber Clay Plain Tiles were used on the main house, with an additional 14,000 used on the large outbuildings adjacent to it.
