Expona Commercial PUR luxury vinyl tiles from Polyflor were recently installed inside the visitor centre at the world’s first inland surfing lagoon, Surf Snowdonia Adventure Parc. The 700m2 installation completed by JDP Flooring provided the durability needed for this busy tourist attraction.

One of North Wales’ most popular new tourist attractions, Surf Snowdonia is built on the site of a former aluminium rolling and casting works in the Conwy Valley, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. The £17m centre features a 300 metre long man-made freshwater wave lagoon and recently opened its door to the public for a second season.

Approximately 700m2 of Expona Commercial, Weathered Country luxury vinyl tile was installed by Manchester based contractors JDP Flooring in the Surf Side Café and shop inside the centre’s HUB Building. This rustic design features highlighted knots and emphasised grain detailing for an authentic timber effect.

Expona Commercial has a 0.55mm wear layer and 2.5mm gauge making it highly durable and perfectly suited for the high footfall experienced at Surf Snowdonia Adventure Parc. The range also features a PUR surface treatment for eased maintenance and keeping the interior looking great. The Parc are committed to maintaining the beauty of the outdoors and therefore environmental consideration was also taken when selecting Expona Commercial for this project.
