A new state-of-the-art school campus has opened featuring cycle parking facilities and outdoor seating manufactured by Broxap Street Furniture.
The 48,000 square foot campus, home to Eden Girls’ Leadership Academy, supports sustainable travel with electric vehicle charging points as well as extensive cycle parking.
Broxap manufactured and installed a New Sheffield Shelter with capacity for 10 cycles as well as two New Sheffield Run of Shelters, each with space for 30 bikes.
The shelters also feature their Senior Sheffield Cycle Rack, resulting in parking provision for a total of 70 bikes.
The new school includes the latest sports facilities such as a sports hall, 3G multi-games pitches and an artificial grass pitch.
A range of seating has been provided to complement these outdoor spaces, with three baseplated Roslin steel and timber seats, complete with armrests, located in the school grounds.
A further five Roslin benches, with their steel frame powder coated RAL 6005 Moss Green, to match the seats, are spaced out around the perimeter of the sports pitches.
A total of 28 Broxap Timber Bollards help to protect pedestrians from traffic approaching the school, and 17 door barriers were also supplied and installed by their teams.
The Eden Girls’ Leadership Academy delivers 600 additional school places in Birmingham.
It is being operated by Star Academies which runs a network of primary and secondary schools.
Contractor Morgan Sindall Construction worked with the multi-academy trust and client Birmingham City Council to tailor the school’s design so it met the required standards and branding specifications.
