Elegant Caice roof plant compound for NHS Hinchingbrooke Hospital

Elegant Caice roof plant compound for NHS Hinchingbrooke Hospital

Graham Construction asked Caice to construct a roof plant compound on a new purpose built theatre block at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Concealing the latest green energy systems

They installed all the components including the steel framework to achieve an elegant solution that conceals the green energy systems and air source heat pumps.

The new block replaced the theatre block in the main hospital that was coming to the end of its operational life and was a significant re-development.

Managing a long and difficult installation

Their challenge was to design, manufacture, supply and install three different types of Caice products to form the roof plant compound with Acoustic Panels a significant part. Their client, Graham Construction had a challenging programme target and they had to deliver materials to site for storage over a considerable period before commencing the installation.

There were delays after each section was completed, so they scheduled their installation team carefully to allow for product to be installed in a timely manner.
