Introduction
At Johnson Controls, they place great emphasis on educating and training industry professionals including fire consultants, engineers and facilities managers about the implications of industry codes and standards.
They have developed a comprehensive program of Continued Professional Development (CPD), where each 60 minute session focuses on addressing particular issues or concerns within the industry.
The full detail of the available courses are listed below and they have a plan to increase the courses over the next two years. They also offer a number of bespoke Lunch and Learn sessions which are less constrained by the CPD rules but offer bespoke insight to challenges associated in certain application.
Fireclass' CPD offering: EN54 Part 23 Visual Alarm Devices
In December 2013 the EN54-23 standard became a mandatory requirement for all visual alarm devices. This session provides an in-depth understanding of requirements from the regulations and explores how the implementation of these requirements can impact the process for all fire detection professionals.
