Johnson Controls/FireClass
Introduction
At Johnson Controls, they place great emphasis on educating and training industry professionals including fire consultants, engineers and facilities managers about the implications of industry codes and standards.

The full detail of the available courses are listed below and they have a plan to increase the courses over the next two years. They also offer a number of bespoke Lunch and Learn sessions which are less constrained by the CPD rules but offer bespoke insight to challenges associated in certain application.
Fireclass' CPD offering: One Building One System
This CPD session provides a detailed overview of the concept of the Internet of Things and how devices for the security and fire protection of a building can be linked together using a single front end platform which allows remote access to improve building management.
The session enables learners to develop an understanding of the advantages of integration of fire detection and alarm systems with CCTV, access control and HVAC systems using practical examples.
The session provides guidance in standards BS 5839 and an overview of important considerations to take into account for facilities management and installation services when implementing access via IP for fire and security systems.
