True Grip was approached to solve a problem to the Club House Complex where the exiting balconies had slippery and dangerous wooden decking. Once the decking was removed it would leave a void of approximately 70mm.

They designed a specification that involved the installation of an Addagrip porous sub screed and an Addagrip Addaset porous resin bound gravel laid to falls.

The project was logistically complicated as the balcony was on the first floor. True Grip’s contracts Director, Richard Nicholls, said ‘’This was a complicated project but with the cooperation of the main contractor The Ashley Group and the Rowing Club the project was completed ahead of schedule’’ Richard said ‘’It will be amazing to think that winners of the Olympic medals will be standing on a surface we installed.’’
